As part of the project, the Hard Rock’s existing suites and common areas will be renovated to revitalize the property. Upon completion, the Hard Rock will have roughly 1,500 fully modern, state-of-the-art rooms and all of the services and facilities of the larger casino hotel.

Grand Casino Tunica

Hotel TunicaThe famous casino and hotel resort, formerly called the Grand Casino Tunica, is located in Tunica Hotel Resorts, Mississippi. Owned and operated by Harrah”s Entertainment, the venue is now known as the Harrah”s Casino Tunica now. It is the largest casino resort between Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

Harrah’s Casino Tunica offers a total area of 140,000 square-foot hotel casino, and three hotels with a total of 1,356 rooms. All three hotels also offer room service, and the Terrace and Veranda Towers also offer a snack bar.

Built in 1996, Grand Casino Tunica’s original owner was Grand Casinos Inc., which was headed by a pioneer in developing resort-style casinos on Native American reservations and in Mississippi, Lyle Berman. The first hotel, Casino Tower, built in 1997, contains 148 rooms and 40 suites.

The theme of this hotel focuses on art-deco. The second hotel, Veranda Tower, boasts a magnificent view that overlooks the golf course and Harrah’s Lake and is a country inn-themed hotel, constructed in 1999. This hotel features 568 enchanting rooms and suites, a sparkling outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool. This hotel features 563 rooms and 37 suites, a world-class spa, a breathtaking outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and an exercise room.

Then in 2005, the Caesars Entertainment was attained by Harrah’s Entertainment. In the year 2007, the Grand Casino Tunica was renamed as Harrah’s Casino Tunica, when Harrah’s officials announced that the Grand would undergo a $45 million renovation of its Las Vegas hotels and casinos.

In addition to this, the company also announced the opening of the first celebrity chef-branded buffet at the new Harrah’s Casino Tunica, the Paula Deen Buffet, bearing the name of Food Network celebrity chef Paula Deen.
The current Harrah’s is the third casino in Tunica Resorts to share the name Harrah’s.
